The apartment is located in an 17th century building on the very chic and posh Ile St Louis. Many famous people have lived in these stately mansions thoughout the years, including the duc of Richelieu, Voltaire, Madame Curie, Charles Baudelaire, and many present day movie actors and actresses. This is an oasis of tress shaded walks along the Seine, courtyards, restaurants and cafes, and antique shops. This is a place where the inhabitants has fiercely protected their caché. You will be like the residents here tell people you are not just in Paris, but on the " ile" or " Ile St Louis".

A touch of the Old World is present in this lovely, cozy studio. It is actually quite large at 35 square meters. It is ideal for a couple looking for a small intimate apartment. The apartment is found on the French 3rd floor. It faces the street so it receives good amounts of natural sunlight. There is no elevator in this historic building. The main living area is open and bright with its large floor to ceiling windows. The flooring is terra cotta tile. The decor is simple, functional and yet warm and inviting with its large leather club chair and sofa and the wonderful Chinese storage chests. The apartment features a small flat screen television for portability through out the apartment. There is also a CD/DVD player.

There is a small dining area with a small table and chairs for 4 persons. Also in one of the walls in the dining area is a Murphy bed containing a double bed inside. There is a real mattress for sleeping and not your typical sofa bed ! It is easy to to use by just pulling lightly on one of the handles to have it gently open out. The sleeping unti has additional closet space for hanging clothes and drawers and shelves on the side areas.

The kitchen is a separate area and is fully equipped with a halogen cook top, an extreactor hood, oven, microwave oven, a sink with agranite work top, a refrigerator/freezer and a washing machine. There are plenty of cupboards and a large cabinet for storage too. The bathroom is next to the kitchen. It is bright and cheeful with its sun yellow and navy blue ceramic tile on the walls. There is a vanity mirror and washbasin with a small countertop area. Underneath the sink is plenty of storage space. The bathroom has a large shower stall and a toilet. This bathroom features a small window for added ventilation.
