Musical fountain display
The musical fountain display revives the reign of King Louis XIV. He ordered remarkable works in order to provide the fountains and the ponds with 1,333 gallons of water necessary for one hour fountain display. Visit on your own the State Apartments (entrance ticket included). Guided visit to the gardens which, from fountain to fountain, takes you to the ponds of Apollo and Neptune.

Versailles is not just a palace surrounded with beautiful gardens but also a huge park where one can find two small chateaux named Grand and Petit Trianons, former summer residences for the Kings who loved to rest and forget about the "Etiquette" of the Court.
In the morning, guided visit to the State Apartments (Hall of Mirrors, Queen's Bedroom...) and free time to take a walk in the French style gardens. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon you will visit the two Trianons and stroll in the park up to Marie-Antoinette's Hamlet.

A country home for royal hunting parties
The Fontainebleau palace, lavishly adorned and furnished in Renaissance period style was a favorite hunting residence of the French kings. The apartments occupied by Napoleon were recently restored and are included in our tour. Barbizon has been known as an artistic centre since the l9th century when J.F. Millet and R.L. Stevenson lived there.

Inspired by the beautiful, peaceful and colorful countryside of Giverny, Claude Monet settled here in 1883.

Cruise and lunch through the impressionist scenery
Claude Monet lived at Giverny from 1883 until his death in 1926. In the surroundings of his home, Monet created the famous flower and water garden with its Japanese bridge which became his main source of inspiration. Vincent Van Gogh spent the last months of his life at Auvers painting one canvas each day. He died at Auvers and was buried in the small cemetery of the village.
This tour includes: a guided visit to the charming village of Auvers-sur-Oise and to Van Gogh's grave. Free time to take pictures of the Auberge Ravroux where Vincent Van Gogh stayed. After a drive through the impressionist scenery, lunch (drinks included) will be served at the American Museum of Giverny. Free time to visit the museum. A visit to Monet's home and studio, and a guided visit of his gardens. Short free time before our return to Paris.
